Digital Gallery:
An exhibition from the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) showcasing the top 10 designs from A Space for Learning, a nationwide competition for architects & architecture graduates to work with Transition Year students on the design of educational spaces. The exhibition features unique models, films, drawings and even furniture, created by the teams to illustrate their ideas and to raise public awareness of the importance of school design. A Space for Learning is the inaugural project of the IAF’s education programme and featured more than 1,500 students in 90 schools working with 120 architects around the country. The IAF placed architects in schools in 23 counties including Carlow’s St. Mary’s Academy CBS working with Keith Graham of FORM architecture. A Space for Learning is funded through the Environment Fund of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and additionally funded by the Department of Education and Skills and the Arts Council.
