CARLOW CARNIVAL DAY!

Carlow Town Park and the banks of the Barrow will play host to the Éigse Carnival Day on Sunday June 12th.

A day packed with activities to suit all ages, the park will be full of things to see and do with food, sports, water activities, workshops, storytelling, bouncy castles, local artists as well as professional street theatre all playing a prominent role. Don’t miss the Carlow V Graigue Tug of War during the day too. What better way to spend a, hopefully sunny, summer’s day!

Performing during the Carnival Day is BLOCK PARTY! (12.30pm and 2.30pm) a dance troupe from Dance Theatre of Ireland along with live percussionists. 32 giant-sized toy blocks makes this event look like a giant Rubik’s Cube! It’s a feast for the eyes and the senses.

Visual artists will also take out their paint brushes and easels for the occasion and paint the happenings of the day as part of our Outdoor Plein Air Event.

The day will be full of fun activities and don’t forget the Water Park will also be in the River Barrow and in the Town Park during Carnival day also so it will be a full day of jam-packed activities.
