Open Submission: Constellations

The Éigse Carlow Arts Festival Open Submission returns this summer after a year’s absence. Representing a small selection of the country’s talent, submissions were accepted under the theme “Constellations” a suggestion towards the varied ways that artists work to gather and illustrate ideas, and also the ways in which their works are combined for exhibition.

This year’s open submissions have been selected and curated by Emma-Lucy O’Brien, Curatorial Fellow at VISUAL.
Held in two of VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art’s main galleries, the Studio and Link, “Constellations” promises a lively and diverse presentation of works by emerging and established Irish talent.

Emma Lucy O’Brien will give a curator’s talk at 1pm on Sunday June 12th at VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art & George Bernard Shaw Theatre.

Opening hours:

*Please note: longer opening hours during the festival (10th – 19th June):

11am- 7pm (Tues. – Sat.)

12pm – 5pm (Sun.)

Also open Monday 13th June 11am – 7pm

Normal gallery opening hours resume from June 20th

11am – 5.30pm (Tues. – Sat.)

2pm – 5pm (Sun.)
