Photographic Exhibition of the Carlow Rowing Club

Exhibition in the GB Shaw Theatre Bar, Community Exhibition Space:

Simon Wright is a UK photographer and swimmer and his passion for both have led him to a career specialising in aquatic sports photography. His commercial clients include Speedo UK, the British Swimming team and Zoggs and his images have won the LEN European aquatic sports Photo of the Year Competition several times over the last few years. Since 2009 he continues to photograph aquatic teams, their coaches and volunteers all over Britain to help promote British swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. As part of our Barrow 2011 celebrations we brought Simon to Carlow before the festival to meetand photograph members of the talented Carlow Rowing Club who recently celebrated their 150th anniversary and their competitors have brought great accolades to the town. You can get a sneak peek at some of the images during Carlow Regatta over the June bank holiday weekend (the week prior to Éigse).
