Celebrating the 220th anniversary of the River Barrow’s navigation system, Éigse has linked with the other two sisters – the Nore (Kilkenny Arts Festival) and the Suir (Spraoí, Waterford). Together we present The Three Sisters project through workshops in advance of Éigse to create a series of stained glass panels for exhibition in the streets at each festival. Kilkenny and Waterford workshop participants are welcome to Éigse and to Carlow to witness their creations coming to life and Carlow participants are encouraged to visit their creations showcased at Kilkenny Arts Festival and Spraoí in Waterford.
Carlow workshops take place on Sat. 4th & Sun. 5th June in Riverdell House (Town Hall Car Park), Centaur Street, Carlow, linking with the Carlow Regatta by the River Barrow. The drop-in workshops run from 11am – 4.30pm and are FREE. All Welcome.
The street hangings will hang in Tullow Street, Carlow from June 10th – June 20th and will really enhance the festive feeling in the town centre.
